Over the past year, we have been tracking the development of Avalon, the $600 million mixed-use project in Alpharetta that is said to be “the future of retail.” Designed with developments like Atlanta Station in mind, Avalon offers consumers retail, office, residential, and green space – and all in a very walkable, visually-appealing environment. As the project comes closer to delivery more and more retailers are looking to get in on the action, including big names like J Crew and Crate & Barrel. Recent leasing activity brings the development to 97% leased – and they are still 6 months from completion.
Avalon is currently one of the largest mixed-use projects currently under construction in the US. North American Properties purchased the site in 2011, which was named Prospect Park at the time, and drew inspiration from projects like Santana Row in San Jose and Atlantic Station here in Atlanta to design the project’s concept.Share
