The last bit of doubt surrounding the Braves move to Cobb has been removed – the Cobb County Board of Commissioners has approved all of the agreements proposed by the Braves in regards to the construction of their new stadium and mixed-use development. The approval allows Cobb to borrow up to $397 to help fund the construction of the project and commits the Braves to a 30-year term in the new ballpark. Although several Cobb residents and business owners showed up at the meeting to voice concerns and disapproval of the project, those opposed were not allows to speak and were escorted from the room when they attempted to do so.
