You heard right, State Farm has announced their plans to bring 800 new jobs to Atlanta, in addition to the 500 jobs they promised last summer. Thus far, State Farm has kept its promise and leased more than 1 million square feet in the Central Perimeter submarket. Some sources speculate that State Farm is planning a regional consolidation to Atlanta and could be planning to build a campus in the Central Perimeter submarket, much like Cox Enterprises did a few years back. If State Farm follows through with this thought, it could mean bringing thousands of new positions to Atlanta.
Company sources speculate that the majority of the 800 positions opening up will be entry-level positions with a few technical and management positions scattered in the mix. A regional consolidation to Atlanta would help the insurance giant cut costs and boost efficiency and collaboration.Share
