For almost a decade, the biggest thing Tech Square in Midtown was missing was a residential component. Some would argue that this missing piece has been holding this area back from becoming one of the nation’s premiere innovative communities. Residential developers have finally noticed the value that residential could bring the area and have started submitting plans for apartment projects all along Spring Street.
Mill Creek Residential has proposed a 29-story apartment tower next to the Centergy building at 8th and Spring Streets. The tower will include 12,000 SF of retail on Spring Street as well. Ambling University Development is building a 706-bed project right next to the Mill Creek site. Hanover is planning a 6-story, 330 unit apartment project between Spring and W Peachtree Streets on 10th Street. This project will include about 14,000 SF of retail space. Another tower, which will connect Centergy One and Tech Square, is already underway.Share
