Some Push Back Against New Office Trends

Several major publications have written articles or series detailing the changing trends of the American workplace; these pieces often centered around the changes in layout and design that we are seeing in the new office build-outs. Many say that these changes are necessary to the recruitment and retention of Millennial employees; but what about those employees not in the Millennial generation? In a recent survey conducted by Bisnow, a shockingly-high percentage of respondents (41%) said they prefer the traditional office layout, which consists of private offices, cubicles, etc. Only 11% of respondents said they preferred the open and collaborative layouts we are now seeing so many offices spaces become. 43% said they prefer a mixture of both.
