Historic Downtown Roswell is about to see some single family development – one of the first housing developments in the area since the Recession. FrontDoor Communities, along with a JV, are planning to construct 13 townhouses to be included in the second phase of The Providence in Roswell, located off Alpharetta Highway. A spokeman from FrontDoor said that these homes will be priced in the $600s.
This type of project surprised some people in area, especially since most developers seem to be focusing on apartment and multi-family units. FrootDoor was forced to get a little creative, as the historic district does not allow the construction or operation of rental units within its limits. This doesn’t seem to be an issue for FrontDoor, though; spokesperson Eric White said that FrontDoor that “anything FrontDoor does [will be] for sale. That’s our bread and butter.”Share
