A few weeks ago, the City of Sandy Springs announced their plan to renovate the downtown area; they began issuing RFPs last month, responses to which are due on March 28th. Part of the downtown “makeover” will include the construction of a civic center. The city has chosen popular Atlanta-area architect Rosser International Inc. to design the facility, which will be the firm’s third in the metro area. Rosser International is also responsible for The World of Coke in the Downtown submarket and The Arena at Gwinnett Center in the Northeast submarket. Rosser has teamed up with Johnson Consulting, a hospitality consultant, to determine the best uses for the civic center upon completion.
