Scott & Associates knew they were getting a good deal when they paid $45 million for Circle 75 Office Park in the Cumberland/Galleria submarket. What they didn’t know is that just weeks after they finalized the purchase that the Braves would announce their plans to move “Braves Country” from downtown to, well, across the street from Circle 75 Office Park. The Braves organization confirmed that they planned on constructing a new facility and entertainment district on the 60 acres of undeveloped land, formerly owned by BF Saul.
Reps from Scott & Associates claim they had no clue what the Braves were up to, only that they knew an organization had expressed interest after the Integral contract fell through. While the father-son owned real estate firm is optimistic about what a new stadium could do for the submarket, they did express some concerns. They fear that traffic and construct could make life hard on tenants in the coming years.Share
