Marketo Names Atlanta as East Coast Hub

Atlanta has long been considered a hotbed for marketing automation and another major player is jumping into the market. Silicon Valley-based Marketo, which recently became a publicly-traded company, has decided to focus its first major expansion efforts on Atlanta. The company announced that they plan on opening an office in Atlanta by July, where it will employ 30-40 people initially. As they become more established in the market, Marketo will make Atlanta its East Coast hub and add more than 200 additional job in the next two years. Marketo joins other marketing automation companies like Pardot, Virtue, Silverpop, BrightWave Marketing, Salesfusion, and WhatCounts, all of which have already established a presence in the city. Marketo signed a five year deal at Tower Place 100 in Buckhead, where it will take 10,000 SF.
