Hotel Proposed for Georgia World Congress Center

GWCC Hotel

In the last few days, we’ve been given details regarding a proposal for the civic center site – a high-rise, 4-star hotel. While nothing is official, the proposal calls for a 800 to 1,000 room hotel that would break ground immediately following the demolition of the Georgia Dome. According to research, a hotel of this size would attract more than 100,000 additional trade show attendees and increase the Georgia World Congress Center’s revenues by almost 3 million annually. If the plans are approved, the project could cost upwards of $245 million and would deliver sometime in 2019.
