Recently, Kimberly-Clark Corporation announced that its healthcare business would become a separate, publicly-traded entity call Halyard Health. Halyard Health, which is valued at over $1.7 billion, is expected to launch by the end of 2014; it currently employs more than 16,000 people. Once the spin-off is complete, Halyard Health with establish its HQ in Alpharetta, where it will house about 200 employees in its new 174,000 SF facility. The facility will accommodate the corporate officers, finance, technology, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance departments of Halyard Health.
It’s no surprise that Halyard Health selected Alpharetta for its HQ location. Kimberly-Clark has a large presence in North Fulton County via a 98 acre campus in Roswell, just south of Alpharetta. The current Kimberly-Clark facility in Roswell employs about 1,000 people. It is reported that about 450 of these employees will be relocated to the new Halyard facility upon completion, at which point they plan to hire an additional 200 or so.Share
