The Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank, which is putting up $1 million towards the reconstruction of the Windy Hill / I-75 interchange, has awarded the City of Atlanta $3.1 million to help with roadway and pedestrian traffic issues in the area surrounding City Hall and the Capitol Building. The improvements will be a part of the overall goal to realign Capitol Avenue. The GTI Bank has also approve a $1 million grant for the city to replace up to 10% of the street lights with LED bulbs, reducing maintenance and cost over time.
