Site Selection Magazine, an economic development publication, has released their “Best Business Climate” list for 2013 – and Georgia is sitting pretty in the #1 spot. When Governor Deal made the announced this week, he credited numerous factors as positively influencing our business climate; tax reforms, financial and economic incentives for new businesses, quality workforce, low costs of living, and logistics and transportation advantages all made the list.
Although this is Georgia’s first time in the #1 spot, we are no stranger to the top. Last year, Georgia was ranked #4. In fact, Georgia has been in the top ten five of the last ten years. Sources from Site Selection say that Georgia’s regular top finishes are no surprise, and that employers are seeing the value in logistics advantages and top-of-the-line training workforce programs.Share
