The City of Alpharetta has partnered with Choate Construction to transform downtown Alpharetta. The 25-acre mixed-use development that will be known as Alpharetta City Center is expected to bring a breath of new life to the downtown area by adding a city hall building, a new branch of the Fulton County Library System, a 450-space parking deck, a five-acre park, and five retails sites for future development.
Spokespeople for the City of Alpharetta say that this new development will serve as a catalyst for the city and attract private development, which will in turn attract families and communities. They say that the combination of these effects will create the vibrant downtown Alpharetta has always lacked. The city collected the final piece of property to make this development possible in 2011; during that time they also petitioned to relocate Haynes Bridge Road in order to expand the project to the current 25 acres.Share
