A few weeks ago, we reported that Michael Tavani’s newest, consumer-focused design start-up was scouting up to 30,000 SF within Ponce City Market. Beltline & Co, the name given to this start-up, has recently signed the aforementioned deal and hopes to be up in running in Atlanta’s most popular redevelopment project by the end of the year. The space will house up to 150 people and the addition of a design studio/gallery could attract members of the general public as well.
Unlike most start-ups in Atlanta, this one won’t be focused on the technology sector, rather on the design industry. When asked about this, Tavani explained that Atlanta has plenty of tech start-ups but is really lacking a catalyst in the design realm. He is confident that Beltine & Co will help the fill that void, although many feel as though Atlanta’s already established, tech-focused reputation will make it an uphill battle for those start-ups with other specialties.Share
