Dawsonville Lands Mixed-Use Power Center

Years ago, The Sembler Company and Pope & Land were in talks to develop a power center along Hwy 400 in Dawsonville, but those plans faded away when the recession hit five years ago. Now that development across the market is picking up, especially in the mixed-use and multi-family sectors, a new firm has decided to move forward with a development on the site.

Blanchard Real Estate purchased the land from Synovus Bank last year and is currently in negotiations with the US Corp of Engineers over some streams on the property. If all goes according to plan, the development firm with break ground on a 450,000 SF power center; sources confirm that one large retailer and eight smaller retailers already have LOIs on space in the center, although they declined to get more specific about the possible tenants.
