Cousins Properties is taking advantage of the still-rebounding absorbency and rental rates by adding major investments to their portfolio. Cousins has recently purchased the remaining 80% interest in Terminus 200, purchased with funds managed by Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing. Cousins then formed a 50/50 joint venture with JP Morgan Asset Management for Terminus 200 and 100. These two towers are valued at a combined $373.2 million.
Cousins then shifted to its next project, acquiring 100% interest in Post Oak Central for $232.6 million. Post Oak Central is a 1.3 million SF office tower located in the Galleria submarket. Both of Cousins’ recent investments are LEED Gold Certified and have maintained over 90% occupancy throughout this process.Share
