Construction on PATH400 Begins

The first phase of PATH400, the pedestrian trail that will eventually connect the Buckhead neighborhoods and provide greenspace around Interstate 400, is under construction. The focus of Phase I will be the area between Old Ivy and Lenox Rds; contractors have been clearing trees here for weeks. The first phase is scheduled to deliver towards the end of the year and is being funded by the Buckhead CID, the SRTA, and donations from the PATH Foundation. Phase II of the PATH400 project will include the area connecting Old Ivy and Wieuca Rds and is scheduled to break ground in a few months; those close to the project expect Phase II to deliver next spring. Once construction is completed, the trail will be over 5 miles long and connect Loidans Drive to the Atlanta Beltine, another much talked about pedestrian trail currently undergoing construction.
