Construction of Porsche HQ to Resume

When Porsche announced their plans to relocate their Sandy Springs headquarters to the former Ford plant in Hapeville, located within the planned Autotropolis surrounding the Atlanta airport, they presented us with an extremely aggressive construction plan; the company planned for a 12-month construction period and expected to occupy the site and 150,000 SF office building on it by the end of 2013.

But after Porsche broke ground on this facility in November, we haven’t seen much of anything happen with the site. Some speculate that the delay comes from finding the right team of contractors to get the┬ájob┬ádone right. Porsche has revised its plans and now plans to resume construction this summer and occupy the site by the middle of 2014.
