The Braves have issued their RFQ for a stadium and mixed-use entertainment district, and every big-name developer wants a piece of this pie. While the type of project doesn’t leave much room for profit, being selected for this project would add a huge boost to a development firm’s resume. Developers known to have taken an interest in proposals are Ackerman & Co, Greenstone Properties, Carter, Cousins, and OliverMcMillan; unconfirmed prospects include North American Properties and Jacoby Development.
Some of these developers bring some interesting and relevant experience to the table. Greenstone Properties was chosen to develop a minor league stadiums and accompanying mixed-use developments in Indiana and Augusta. Carter also has stadium development on their resume; the firm is currently constructing an enormous, mixed-used riverfront development in Cinncinati between Paul Brown Stadium and the Great American Ballpark. The development is rumored to include 1 million SF of office space, 400k SF of retail, 400 hotel rooms, and 3 million SF of residential space.
All responses to the Braves’ RFQ are due by January 10th.Share
