Atlanta Tech Firm Expands and Relocates in Midtown

A tech firm that started in Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center, one of the city’s many start-up incubators, is expanding and relocating in Midtown. Pindrop Security, which has developed a software that reduces identity thefts on mobile devices by monitoring “audio fingerprints” and similar key indicators, has signed a 12,000 SF lease in the Biltmore Hotel and plans to double their workforce in coming months. Pindrop is just one example of an Atlanta’s start-up succeeding in the current market; the mobile security firm has already raised more than $11 million from investors and is valued at nearly $30 million. Moving to the Biltmore was an easy choice for Pindrop, as it allows them to stay close to the ATDC and continue to tap into the talent coming out of Georgia Tech.
