Proctor & Gamble has announced their plans to develop a 1 million square foot building on 90 acres of land at the intersection of I-85 and Flat Shoals Road in Union City, south of Atlanta. P&G currently occupies a smaller building in Fairburn; this new campus-style work environment will expand their operations by about 600,000 SF. Majestic Realty has been chosen to develop the campus, and they anticipate it to deliver by 4Q2014. You might recognize Majestic as being the firm chosen to develop a large warehouse/distribution site for Kroger near the Fulton County Airport.
This corporate hub is just one of the many large built-to-suit projects Metro Atlanta has in its pipeline. TJX Companies announced their plans for a 800,000 SF distribution center in Jackson County, north of Atlanta. McMaster-Carr Supply Company also released tentative plans for a 700,000 SF built-to-suit regional headquarters and e-commerce center in Douglas County this past September.Share
