Avondale Estates, located east of Atlanta and just inside the I-285 perimeter, will be home to Atlanta’s newest craft beer brewery. On October 4th, Wild Heaven Craft Beers announced their plans to construct an 8,000 SF brewery. Wild Heaven Craft Beers hit the retail market in 2011, and they currently brew four beers year-round. Eric Johnson, founder of the popular Trapeze bar in Athens, and Nick Purdy, publisher of Paste Magazine, created Wild Heaven beers; they originally planned to open the brewery in 2012 before the project was put on hold.
The new brewery will have a 30-barrel brewing system, originally put into place by Sweetwater Brewing Company and later used by Terrapin Brewing, as well as a tasting room for Wild Heaven’s standard and seasonal beer selection. Choate Construction is heading up the project.Share
