AMEC Signs Sketchy Lease Extension


AMEC, an engineering and consulting firm, has recently inked a six month extension on the current lease; the company is currently the sole tenant of 396 – 430 Plasters Ave and 1386 Mayson Street, a cluster of buildings along I-85. AMEC takes a combined 57,000 SF in the these buildings. But why sign only a six month extension? This could mean several things for AMEC. They could be gearing up for a move and waiting for space to deliver. They could be in the middle of long-term lease negotiations with the current landlord and they have yet to reach a final deal. Perhaps AMEC is still weighing all of their options. Only time will tell.
