Earlier this year, we reported that Amazon was taking 300,000 SF near the Atlanta airport for a new distribution facility. Now it appears as though Amazon is back in the market, but this time they are looking for office rather than industrial space. Amazon is creating an Atlanta division and is currently seeking up to 30,000 SF to accommodate as many as 150 employees. It’s rumored that Amazon is in talks with 3344 Peachtree ownership to take the space that Spanx will be vacating when they move to Buckhead Atlanta next year.
Another major company looking for office space in Atlanta is Twitter. The social media outlet is looking for 20,000 SF in addition to the 100,000 SF of data center space they leased in recent years. Twitter could add as many as 100 employees to this new Atlanta office.Share
