Albany Road Raising Eyebrows in Southeast

Boston-based Albany Road Real Estate Partners is making moves in the Southeast, and according the sources, Atlanta is its next target. Albany Road recently closed its second deal in Nashville, where it put its Southeast HQ location, with the purchase of a 420,000 SF office portfolio from KBS REIT; Albany Road paid a reported $33.5 million for the assets. Albany has closed more than $75 million in deal throughout its first 90 days in the Southeast. Company sources report that the company will be shifting its sights south to Atlanta, where it will be looking for office properties between $10 million and $50 million along the spine of the city, focusing most heavily on Buckhead, Midtown, and the Central Perimeter. Albany Road plans to take their acquisition train to other Southeast cities, including Charlotte and Raleigh.
